These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Expenseen ("the App") and related services. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

The service

Expenseen helps you digitize receipts, organize expenses, and view summaries and insights. Features may change over time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be legally able to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful purposes or to violate others' rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service except as permitted by law.
• Upload malware or content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.

Your content

You retain rights to content you submit (such as receipt images and notes). You grant us a license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Accuracy of information

Automated extraction may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing amounts and categories before relying on them for tax, reimbursement, or legal purposes. Expenseen is not a substitute for professional financial or tax advice.

Subscriptions and fees

Expenseen offers a Premium subscription package with unique features and capabilities beyond what is included in the free tier. Premium unlocks subscriber-only tools and limits as described in the App at the time you subscribe; those benefits may change from time to time, and we will reflect updates in the App and these Terms where required.

Fees, billing cycles, cancellation, and renewal terms are shown at purchase and managed through your app store account. App store providers apply their own terms and payment rules; your contractual relationship for payment is primarily with the applicable store, subject to mandatory consumer rights in your region.

Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EXPENSEEN AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100), UNLESS MANDATORY LAW PROVIDES OTHERWISE.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we need to do so for legal or security reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms. We will post the updated version and adjust the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance, where permitted by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction we designate for disputes, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
