Expenseen ("we", "us", or "our") provides a mobile application and related services that help you capture receipts and understand your spending. This policy describes how we handle personal information in connection with those services.

Depending on how you use Expenseen, we may process:
- Account data — such as email address or identifiers you use to sign in (for example, when using Apple or Google sign-in).
- Receipt and expense data — images you scan or upload, extracted text (merchant names, amounts, line items), categories you assign, and notes you add.
- Device and usage data — app version, coarse diagnostics, and similar technical information needed to operate and improve the service.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide core features (storing receipts, totals, categories, and reports).
- Improve accuracy of extraction and product experience.
- Secure accounts, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- Communicate important service updates when necessary.
- Operate an optional Premium subscription: verify that your account is entitled to subscriber-only features and deliver those capabilities in the app.
Premium subscription
Expenseen includes a free experience and an optional Premium package with additional features that are only available while your subscription is active. The exact Premium benefits are shown in the app when you subscribe and may evolve over time; we will handle any material changes in line with this policy and applicable law.
Purchases and renewals are processed by your app store (for example, Apple or Google). We do not receive your full payment card number from them. We may receive limited purchase-related information—such as subscription status, product identifiers, and transaction references—to confirm your entitlement and provide Premium functionality.
AI and automated processing
Some features may use automated or AI-assisted processing to interpret receipt content. We design these features to support your use of the app; we do not use your data to train public models unless we clearly disclose otherwise and, where required, obtain your consent.
Sharing and subprocessors
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers (such as hosting, authentication, or analytics) who process it on our instructions and under appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account or certain data subject to legal retention requirements.
Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage strong passwords and protecting your device.
